Our Parish
Fr Hall is a native of St Cuthbert's Parish in North Shields. After attending St Cuthbert's Grammar School, in Newcastle, he trained for the priesthood at Ushaw College and Durham University.
He was ordained in 1978 and was sent to do further theological studies at the K.U.Leuven (Louvain University in Belgium).
After completing these he returned to teach systematic theology at Ushaw.
Since finishing teaching in the seminary Fr Hall has been parish priest in Blaydon, Highfield and Washington, before coming to St Mary of the Rosary in Forest Hall.
For a time he was the Director of Religious Education for the diocese, and now combines his parish work with being Direct of Formation for the Permanent Diaconate.
Our Parish Council meets regularly and you can download minutes by clicking here.
We have a growing team of altar servers, Eucharistic Ministers and enthusiastic volunteers who help with all aspects of Parish life from administrative support to flower arranging to welcoming parishioners to serving teas and coffee.
